Excessory: Contemporary Australian JewelleryA Museums & Galleries NSW touring exhibition. This project has been assisted by the Australian Government through the Australia Council for the Arts, its arts funding and advisory body.Excessory is a curated exhibition of six contemporary Australian jewellery artists Vernon Bowden, Jeanette James, Mark Vaarwerk, Emily Valentine, Zoe Jay Veness and Rebecca Ward, that explores the transformation of commonplace or ‘excess’ materials, including paper, discarded plastics, cans and animal materials into objects of aesthetic, cultural and commercial value.
